Practical information to help you prepare for your Voyage to Vietnam extension, from travel requirements and accommodations to meals, payments, and policies.
The Voyage to Vietnam extension is available exclusively to guests registered for our Discover Bali retreat. Because it is designed as a continuation of that experience, it cannot be booked as a standalone trip.
The extension includes 5 days and 4 nights, giving you the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture, history, cuisine, and natural beauty of Vietnam before returning home.
If you’re joining us for both Discover Bali and the Voyage to Vietnam extension, you’ll need three flights:
Your flight to Bali (DPS), a regional flight from Bali (DPS) to Hanoi (HAN), and your flight home from Hanoi (HAN).
We’ll provide recommended flight options and booking guidance to help make the process easy.
Visa requirements vary depending on your country of citizenship. We recommend checking the current entry requirements well in advance of your departure. We will also provide additional travel guidance to all registered guests as the trip approaches.
Yes. All guests are required to carry travel medical insurance for the Vietnam extension. Your policy should provide coverage for both Indonesia and Vietnam if you are participating in both portions of the journey. You are welcome to purchase coverage through our booking platform or through any provider you choose. Our only requirement is that you have your travel coverage in place before departure.
No. While Discover Bali is centered around yoga and retreat experiences, Vietnam is designed as a cultural travel extension. Complimentary tai chi sessions will be available on deck during our cruise, and if the opportunity presents itself, we may gather for some informal stretching or movement together.
No. Airfare between Bali and Vietnam is not included in the extension price. We will provide recommended flights that coordinate with the group itinerary so traveling between destinations is as seamless as possible.
Yes. Group airport transfers are included for guests arriving on the recommended flight and departing with the group at the conclusion of the extension. If you choose different flights, we’re happy to help you arrange transportation at your own expense.
Yes. Private transportation is included for all scheduled group excursions and activities included in the itinerary.
The Voyage to Vietnam includes daily breakfast, three lunches, and two dinners. Meals noted as “on your own” in the itinerary are intentionally left open, giving you the opportunity to explore Vietnam’s incredible café and restaurant scene at your own pace.

Alcoholic beverages are not included with the Vietnam extension unless specifically noted. If you’d like to enjoy a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail during your travels, beverages will be available for purchase at most restaurants, hotels, and aboard the Ha Long Bay cruise.
