Strength & Balance Series

Strength & Balance at The Mat Yoga Studio

With Iris Haftlang, Amy Quant, Kathleen Alling, and Kim Clark

Join our dream team of seasoned teachers for Strength & Balance—a bold and inspiring monthly workshop series at The Mat Yoga Studio in Dallas. Held on select Saturdays from 1:00–2:30 PM, this series runs through December 2026 and is designed to elevate your practice with precision, power, and play.


About the Class

Strength & Balance is your invitation to dig deeper, fly higher, and move smarter. Each 90-minute session blends intelligent sequencing, technique drills, and playful exploration to help you build true strength and balance on and off the mat.

Each month features a new theme and pose focus (think: splits, binds, inversions, arm balances), offering a clear roadmap for breaking down advanced shapes into accessible components. You’ll work with blocks, straps, the wall, and sometimes each other. Yes, there’s occasional partner work to refine alignment and learn the mechanics behind the magic.

Our supportive, light-hearted approach keeps things fun while honoring the discipline of the practice. You’ll laugh, sweat, and maybe wobble a little, but you’ll always walk away stronger and more confident in your body.


Who Should Attend

This class is open to adventurous practitioners of all levels who are ready to get curious, courageous, and a little outside their comfort zone. If you’re looking to deepen your practice with practical tools, anatomical insight, and creative movement, this one’s for you.
